Reading the light
The glass roof spreads direct sun into soft top light, and the white walls fill shadows back into faces. Morning and late afternoon give the most directional light through the side windows. At midday, pull the sheer drapes. After sunset, the chandelier, lanterns, and outdoor string lights take over.
Maternity sessions in the greenhouse
Overhead glass gives even, flattering light, and the sheer drapes turn midday sun into a giant diffuser. Flowing gowns read beautifully against the white beams and greenery, and your client stays comfortable indoors instead of standing in a Texas field.
Tip: Book 2 hours for indoor and garden looks. Late afternoon brings the warmest light through the west windows.
Engagement sessions
Start with natural light on the settee, then move to the gravel path as the string lights come on. The chandelier and lanterns make evening sessions feel intimate, and the property is private, so no strangers walk through your frames.
Tip: The golden hour block covers sunset and blue hour in one booking.
Family and newborn sessions
A protected, predictable space where kids can move around and nobody is waiting on the weather. The layout is open enough for group shots and quiet enough for newborn and milestone work. Bring your own posing gear and baskets.
Tip: Morning slots are cooler and calmer for little ones.
Senior portraits
Give seniors two galleries in one hour: bright, editorial portraits inside and moody, golden frames in the garden. A strong alternative to crowded downtown McKinney or Dallas locations.
Tip: Have clients bring one light outfit and one darker outfit to match each set.
Brand, product, and content days
Florists, boutiques, bakers, and creators get editorial greenery and clean natural light. Use the console for flat lays, the shelves for styled product, and the whole room for short-form video.
Tip: Half and full day rentals give you time to reset between setups.
Fall and Christmas mini sessions
Reserve a half or full day and run minis back to back in a fully styled set. The greenhouse opens with a fall setup, then becomes a full Christmas set closer to the holidays, with Santa available on select dates for your clients.
